Let’s start with where it ends – care packages for soldiers.
The program begins with the entire group broken up into sub-teams and placed in different starting locations. From the start, these teams are required to gather items and materials that will complete the care packages. These items are spread over a large area. From competition to collaboration, teams realize that only a shared, concerted effort will allow the project task to be completed on time. At the end of the activities, teams use their points to purchase items for the care packages for their soldiers. This is the highlight of the event as teams are eager to give back to such a worthy and rewarding cause. After the packages are created, teams tally their points and the real “winning” team is declared — our troops overseas!
You’ll be amazed at how energizing and uplifting this event can be for everyone involved, and what your team can accomplish back at work after an event that pulls everyone together for such a rewarding cause. If timing and circumstances allow, we coordinate with a local soldier who accepts the gifts on behalf of our soldiers abroad.. We often hear that there wasn’t “a dry eye in the house” because everyone was so moved, which is important because of the impact it has on the groups to know that they can truly make a difference as a team.
Real soldiers, real results: “I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. I received an amazing package (you guys were spot on with items I love… Ramen noodles, popcorn, romantic comedies..don’t judge). I wanted to thank you so much and it meant a lot to get a package when I least expected it.”
Large indoor space with a table for every team, and a seat for every participant. We also require rectangular banquet tables for supplies. Some outside spaces may be compatible also. 20 sq ft per participant is a good guide.
“I wanted to thank you again for thinking of us not once but twice for the care packages. I know these boxes will brighten the soldiers holidays! Your coworkers are great, by the way. You work with a great team. Thanks again for everything!”A.D.R. – Florida National Guard Family Programs
“The team was way more engaged and enthusiastic than we predicted. We have received so many positive comments about the entire program. You were right, Paul is a fantastic facilitator! Dustin and his team also did a great job keeping the group engaged. It was really wonderful to see all that was accomplished. We are very happy to know that the packages will be sent to MN troops that are stationed overseas.”K.O. – UnitedHealth Group

“On behalf of the soldiers, I would like to thank you for your support. To have people we don’t know express appreciation by taking the time to send us a package and a note means a lot to us.”M.A. – US Army
“Thank you for the outstanding team building experience that you provided for our associates at our Leadership Conference. Operation Military Care has made a profound impact on all of our attendees. The entire exercise, particularly meeting the soldiers at the end, has left them with lasting memories that they will cherish for many, many years to come. Paul and the team kept our 400 participants energized and excited throughout the event. It was, without a doubt, a truly unique and wonderful experience. Thanks again for helping us to make Leadership Conference a great success!”A.C. – MSC Industrial Supply Co.
